IN THE NEWS: Concern Breaks Ground on New Project

In July 2010, Concern broke ground on our newest Single-Site Supportive Housing Project in Brooklyn. The Concern Heights Apartments will be a 90-unit mixed-use building that will provide 60 studio units of Supportive Housing for persons recovering from mental illness, along with 30 one- and two-bedroom apartments for low-income individuals and families. Concern received overwhelming support and approval from the members of Community Board 9 for the development of this building. This is our largest project to date and we anticipate completion in December 2012.

Capital funding for this project is provided by New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, New York State Office of Mental Health, New York State Homeless Housing and Assistance Corporation, The Community Preservation Corporation and the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York. The total anticipated development costs of this project is $30,805,173.
